How to Start Streaming Football Manager on Twitch

Football Manager is a great fit for Twitch: long saves, constant decisions and a chat that loves to argue about your team selection. Here is how to get going.

Set up the basics

You need a PC that can run Football Manager and your streaming software (OBS Studio is free) at the same time, a decent microphone and a stable upload connection. Audio matters more than video: viewers will forgive a plain screen capture, but not a crackly mic.

Capture the game window rather than your whole desktop so chat and notifications stay private. Keep the match engine view large, since that is where most viewer reactions happen.

Pick a save format people can follow

Viewers come back for a story. A save series with a clear hook, such as a non-league rebuild, a single-nation challenge or an unusual tactic, gives people a reason to return each stream.

Make the premise easy to explain in one sentence, and put it in your stream title and Twitch panels so new viewers know what they are joining.

Stream on a schedule

Consistency beats length. Two or three fixed days a week lets viewers build a habit, and a published schedule helps people find you.

List your schedule on your profile page here and on Twitch so both stay in sync.

Talk to chat and get found

Ask chat to make decisions: transfer targets, formations, who takes the penalty. Involvement keeps viewers around far longer than silent play.

Set your Twitch category to Football Manager and use accurate tags so you appear in the right browse pages, and get listed on The Dugout so football fans can discover you in one place.
